Mari (balls)

In Japan, this motif has been used since ancient times as a good-luck charm, symbol of happiness, and talisman to ward off evil spirits.

“Screen Printing” is a printing technique whereby ink is applied to silk, nylon, oｒ other fine mesh material.  Patterns are applied by rubbing paint over the material using a squeegee. This technique is mainly used for depicting original pictures with shading such as in paintings.

主に絵画のような濃淡のある原画を表現するときに用いる。
